Boss Expedition: Hilla
- Lv.120 and above players can now battle Hilla, the corrupt conqueror of Azwan!
- You can access the entrance to the expedition through the Azwan Refugee Zone.
- To get to the entrance, use the Fight for Azwan option in a Dimensional Mirror (located in most towns), enter the obelisk, use the portal on the far right that is also used to participate in the various Fight for Azwan modes, then select Challenge Hilla.
- Form your expedition and talk to Medina in the lobby to enter.
- You can fight Hilla up to 2 times per day.

Spiegelmann's Gonzo Gallery
- Spiegelmann has opened up an art gallery where you can be amazed by his artistic creations and be blown away in an “artsplosion of epic artportions!”
- Requirement: Lv.50 – 120
- Accept the quest "Spiegelmann’s Gonzo Gallery Opening" through the quest notifier on the left side the game window.
- Travel to the gallery by using a Dimensional Mirror, located in most towns.
- You have to travel through the 4 "Seasonal Series" paintings and complete each separate quest chain to be able to view Spiegelmann’s "Unpublished Work".
- Each painting shows a particular season of Spiegelmann’s past.
- Inside the "Unpublished Work," be prepared to fight the boss monster, the Spiegelframe.
- When you defeat the Spiegelframe, the monster has a chance to drop Spiegelmann’s Jewelry Box, Spiegelmann’s Belt or Spiegelmann’s Mysterious Letter.
- Upon opening Spiegelmann’s Jewelry box the player will be rewarded with a jewel-studded epaulette with random stats.

Pirates' Revenge
- Pirates and Thunder Breakers have been heavily revamped and rebalanced, with their skills being considerably overhauled.
- Many existing skills have been removed and replaced with new skills.
- The new skills and the upgraded existing skills make Pirates and Thunder Breakers more powerful than ever.
- The Corsair Battleship and the Buccaneer Super Transformation have now become mount skills obtainable from Samuel in the Forest of the Priest after your 4th job advancement.

Dual Blades Reborn
- Dual Blades return to MapleStory, having been unavailable for creation since March 2012. You will be able to create a Dual Blade until September 4, 2012.
- They have a new character creation menu that includes unique hair and face styles.
- New Dual Blades will have the Charismatic Dual Blade face for males or the Captivating Dual Blade face for females.
- New Dual Blades will also be able to choose the new Gale Hair or Blade-sharpened Hair for males, and Blade-sharpened Locks or Lady Syl Hair for females.
- They now have their own tutorial, separate from regular Explorers.
- They have numerous new and updated quests.
- Some of the Dual-Blade-only Mastery Books can no longer be used. [Mastery Book] Tornado Spin 20, [Mastery Book] Monster Bomb 30 and [Special Mastery Book] Monster Bomb 30 can be exchanged through the Maple Administrator NPC.
- All Dual Blades can receive an exclusive Shadow Owl mount following their 4th job advancement.
- Numerous event quests have been added for free mastery books, special equips, and a free SP Reset Scroll.
- Their job advancements are now listed differently.
- Before: 1st, 2nd, 2nd+, 3rd, 3rd+, 4th
- Now: 1st, 1st+, 2nd, 2nd+, 3rd, 4th
- Job advancements are still at levels 10, 20, 30, 55, 70, and 120.

- Dual Blades now feature a brand new quest line. You will be able to begin the new quest line as soon as a character is created. New story quests can only be done by newly created Dual Blades.
- Previously existing Dual Blade story quests can no longer be done, however, the existing Lv.70 and Lv.120 job advancement quests for Dual Blades will be kept as they are.
- Old Dual Blades can still do the Kerning City quests along with the job advancement quests.

The Golden Temple
An all-new Golden Temple experience lies before you! The former mini dungeon has been reconstructed as a theme dungeon, complete with new quests.

- Travel to the temple by using a Dimensional Mirror, located in most towns.
- Help the tourists and the locals to earn the new Seeker of Gilded Truth medal.
- Ravana, the boss monster, has chance to drop a new helmet, Ravana's Golden Crown.
- Monsters inside the temple have a chance to drop Burning Sunbursts. Double-click a stack of 10 of these to obtain a Sunburst, which is needed to enter Ravana’s Golden Altar.
- You can fight Ravana 2 times per day (3 times per day during the Golden Temple Reconstruction event).
- Seeker of Gilded Truth (medal): REQ LV: 120, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +5, MaxHP/MP +350, Weapon/Magic ATT +1, Weapon/Magic DEF +100, ACC/AVOID +100. One-of-a-kind item. Untradeable.

Silent Crusade
Arkarium and the Black Mage have once again gone back in time and changed the past! Your heroic deeds in the Silent Crusade are no more, and you must rejoin the Crusade as a "newb" and help to protect Maple World. This time though, things are a little different... the challenge has ramped up with all new, higher level monsters joining together against you.
Changes
- The newest version of Silent Crusade has been added, and the previous version of Silent Crusade has been removed. You can no longer complete your quests in progress.
- 22 lv.120+ quests have been added, and 10 Lv.120+ Silent Crusade monsters have been added.
- Older versions of the Crusader Coin have been replaced by a newer version.
- Existing Crusader medals, rings, belts, shoulder equipment, and necklaces will remain in your possession and will not be removed.
- The Crusader Codex remains the same with no updates.
- A new Silent Crusade window has been added which helps keep track of the monsters you’ve defeated, displays chapter rewards, and gives you quick access to the Silent Crusade shop. Default key: [,]
- Silent Crusade quests have been divided into 4 chapters, with special rewards for completing each chapter being able to be received from the Silent Crusade UI.
- New titles have been added that give you stat boosts when equipped. Double-click one in the Set-up tab of your item inventory to activate it.
- The origin of the Silent Crusade is revealed with a surprising revelation by one of its members.
New Content
- Requirement: Lv.75 or above
- Accept the quest “The [Silent Crusade] A Cry for Help” through the quest notifier on the left side of your game window.
- The Silent Crusade is a secret group in Maple World that specializes in eliminating especially powerful monsters.
- You will hunt several of the existing monsters from previous Silent Crusade timelines as well as some powerful monsters new to the Crusade.
- The Master Monsters are in their own unique maps which are accessible through Mystic Gates. The location of each Mystic Gate will be revealed during the Silent Crusade quest chain.
- There is a limited number of times you may enter a Mystic Gate during a day.
- Completing the quests will earn you potions, medals, titles and Crusader Coins. The coins can be used to purchase special Silent Crusade items.
- You can purchase items from Wence in the Silent Crusade hideout or by talking to him through the Silent Crusade UI.
- Wence’s shop contains equip items and scrolls to enhance them.
- During the Renegades Festival, you will receive Renegades Coins for completing chapters of the Crusade in addition to the regular rewards.

Monster Park
- The monsters in the park have had their HP reduced, but the number of monsters per stage has increased.
- Special monsters with a chance to drop Epic hidden potential or higher items will now appear.
- After hunting the special monsters and using the last portal, you might move to the new mysterious treasure vault, where you'll be given a Box of Greed that will give you various items every time you attack an enemy that appears for a minute in the vault.
- The drop rate has been doubled for Monster Park entrance ticket pieces.
Mu Lung Dojo
- There will now be 3 modes available: Normal, Hard, and Ranked.
- You can attempt normal mode at level 90, hard mode at 120, and ranked mode at 130.
- There are 10 stages in Normal mode and 20 stages in Hard mode.
- Monster stats have been lowered.
- The EXP given for defeating monsters in Normal and Hard modes has increased.
- A bonus EXP reward will be given upon completing Normal and Hard modes.
- Points you earn in Hard Mode will be tallied each week and compared to other players' scores, then the points will be reset. You can collect a reward based on what grade your points fall under. Some of the rewards are brand new items.
- You’ll receive a buff that increases the chance of Mu Lung Lucky Shot dropping if you enter the dojo every day.
- Monsters in the dojo have a chance to drop scrolls for Mu Gong’s Belt.
- Potential stats will no longer be applied in Mu Lung Dojo for Hero’s Gloves, Mu Gong’s Gloves and So Gong’s Gloves.
- The equips available for purchase or to be won have all had their durations increased.
- The duration of Hero’s Gloves, Mu Gong’s Gloves, and So Gong’s Gloves have been increased from 1 to 7 days.
- The duration of Mu Gong’s Belt has been increased from 7 to 15 days.
- For a limited time, a Mu Gong's Belt will come with hidden Epic potential.
- During the Renegades Festival, you will receive Renegades Coins for completing daily quests related to Mu Lung Dojo.
